Very clean place & courteous staff. Hotel was quiet, we enjoyed street view from our queen room. South Loop district was definitely worth visiting. We also went to city center, located a 10-15 minute walking distance from the venue. It was an awesome stay.
-
It was a 3-star hotel in every way. What an okay place! We found nice corner bakery cafe nearby with hot beverages...
-
Breakfast served on the bar. Room was a good value. A lovely place for exploring Chicago. Metro is 15 minutes walk.
Could not be improved in any way.

Extremely good room for a low price - clean, comfortable and very spacious, better than comparable Chicago hotels in the price range. Staff were very friendly, very helpful, and gave extremely good advice. Really near Union Station and the Greyhound bus terminal. It's a bit outside downtown, but close enough...it's walkable, and the slightly further location is not a problem if you're taking transport to where you need to go anyway. I think it's a far better choice than paying much more for a worse room in the heart of town.
The immediate area isn't actually all that nice. Once you're west across the river, where this Holiday Inn is, it's a bit grimier and run down, less built-up. I didn't feel unsafe...it didn't feel threatening at all, really, but if you're traveling alone or as a family, this may be a consideration.

I booked a suite for five adults and i was concerned as to where the fifth adult would be sleeping so i called the front desk to speak with a manager before i booked the room and i was assured there will be a rollaway bed available for our use, when we arrived there was not one available so my 24 yr old( 270 lb) son had to sleep in a chair sitting up.As a result i will not be taking my family to this property again......

Some Staff not very helpful or nice. Was unable to provide information about local restaurants, etc.

Location - situated close to union station
It is highly overpriced. Probably due to the real estate value. Breakfast so and so
-
the environment is good
I had booked the hotel from booking the price is 143USD But the hotel cost me 250USD I don`t know why
-
Friendly staff made it easy to get around.
Toilet backed up soon as we were there barely used it. The pictures of a beautiful swimming pool, there is no pool that I knew of wasn't like the pictures!

Very good location near to downtown
To everyone who will stay there: you need to x-check the bill carefully before leaving. After I returned to my country for travel expenses report, I found that 3.84$ was charged for the distance telephone within the time period when I was not in the room. It was not a big fee, and it was my fault that I was in a hurry so I did not x-checked the bill at check-out, but it should not happen. To the hotel management and to the guest, please pay attention to that.

Variety of channels.
Staff was super loud whenever they would greet a customer in the lobby.

The staff were lovely and friendly.
We booked a room for 5 adults and turned up to find one sofa bed and one double bed only. There were two couples and one single person so what was the expectation? 3 people in one bed? I queried this at reception and they said - there are no other rooms available. This was my first trip to the US and I asked is this normal for the USA? I had to demand that a camp bed was placed in our room so that the single one didnt have to share a bed with another couple. We are all 28 year old adults and expect to have a decent amount of sleeping space when we book a hotel room. Afterall we did not book into a hostel. I then had to demand bedding too as the camp bed didnt come with any. The management werent sorry or helpful with this issue. Futher more when we got our bill it was much higher than originally thought (and we'd pre-factored in the tax) so not sure why we were over charged. A bit of a disappointing stay over all I'm afraid.
